Hi Jim,
I have two vehicles I’d like to convert to CNG, the first is a 1977 Ford Ranchero, 351ci carbureted V8, the second a 2001 Chrysler mini-van, 3.8l.
I’ve done some Internet browsing and found a couple sites, but it seems there are not a lot of systems/kits out there. I realize the Ranchero is old so maybe an open-loop system would be my best bet but I could not even find that..
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I have natural gas at my house so I am putting together an estimate to cost to convert vehicles to CNG. I have a 2009 Ford Escape 2.5l; 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8l; 2006 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l; and my personal favorite 1994 motorhome F53 chassis with the 8 cyl 460. The motorhome also has a 7KW Onan generator that currently runs on gas..would like to convert it as well. There is a 30 gallon propane tank on board so I could convert the generator to LPG if that makes better sense to do.
At this point I think I would prefer to go bi-fuel on all of them.

A Ford 302 CID engine is 5.0 L. Are you sure you didn’t know that?
hi i talked to you about a 2007 sierra today. its a vortec 5.3 with 70000mi runs great.still gets 20mi highway. we talked about my flying up if you get a sequential engine to work on
We have three E-350, 8 cylinder engines we would like to see about
converting to CNG. We are in NC and I spoke with you about having
one of my guys trained to do these conversions. We also have an
F-350 Diesel we would also like to consider.
We will send you pictures of the Manifolds and area available for these
Tanks. In my opinion to put less than 20 Gallons of CNG would probably
not be worth the effort as these trucks normally run 200 miles per day.
At 12 MPG, this would give these trucks a 240 mile range, which would
be good.

I live in California and drive a 1975 Mercedes 280C. It is a Carburated 6 cylinder engine. I am free of smog inspections and dont have to worry about inspections. I am having starring problems and thinking about converting it to fuel injection with Megasquirt. After that I think it is easier to convert to CNG.
I have 2. Questions. Can you start the engine on CNG?
Could I control the cng injectors with the Megasquirt ECU?
Would I save money not using a CNG Controller?
How much would a mit be?
